The biggest challenges of Internet Marketing

6-challenges-of-internet-marketingThere are enough business websites on the internet to form a clear and statistically significant consensus of the most frustrating challenges that website owners face.  And time and time again, feedback from most companies is that they still want:

  • More traffic to their website
  • More people to sign up to their website
  • To make more money

 

If your business is facing the same challenges, let’s take a look at the issues. It is simply impossible for every website to rank in the first position or on the first page of search engines. Every single website is trying to jostle its competitors out of the way so they become top dog.  But only a few will reach the coveted first page.  The second complaint is almost completely related to the effectiveness of the website. 

 

So here are a few things to consider so your website can overcome these problems:

 

Get more traffic – ensure your website is search engine optimized to its very best with great, unique, quality content and an appropriate use of pre-defined keywords.  Add an informative blog in an effort to come across as an authority figure in the eyes of Googlebot.  If that’s not paying dividends, add in some pay-per-click advertising for your company – but carefully define your marketing campaign with tight key words that will resonate with your target market.

 

Get more customers to sign up – when customers arrive on your home page, make it very easy for them to sign up for more information from you such as a special, or better still, an exclusive offer in addition to general news.  Don’t make the design of the sign up section shy and retiring – quite the opposite.  Make it bold and impossible to miss.  You may need to give away a little something to entice them to sign up to hear more about your offers, but once you have their precious email address, add them to your client list straight away.  And then send out e-shots and e-newsletters to maintain their interest and entice them to buy something from you.

 

Make more money – consider multiple internet income streams.  Clients can of course contact you via your website to purchase products.  But consider offering advertising options to third parties.  As you improve traffic to you website, this may become of interest and value to them and they will pay you for the privilege in the blink of an eye.  And regarding blogs, angle at least some of them to specifically sell your products or those of your affiliates.  Every little helps!
