Google has just announced the launch of its new light weight, ultra slim Samsung Chromebook with a price tag of $249. It weighs 2.5 pounds and measures 11.6 inches and is incredibly slim at only 0.8 inches thick.
Compact doesn’t equate to lack of performance. It has a Samsung ARM Cortex A-15 processor, 2GB of RAM and high resolution screen of 1,366 x 768. It has more than 6 hours of battery life and 100 GB of free storage on Google Drive. It also has one USB 3.0 port and one USB 2.0 port. With the ability to seamlessly move between all Google products, such as Gmail, Search, Maps, YouTube and Google+, current users of these products will be delighted.
Marketed specifically as the second or third additional computer in a household, Google firmly believe its compact but powerful performance will endear it to everyone. As an easy to share computer, it’s ideal for the kids to do their homework on, or for someone to quickly catch up with their emails, and all users can have their stuff safely filed in separate accounts.
The new Samsung Chromebook is now available to pre-order on Amazon, PC World, Best Buy amongst others.
